Don either Johnny Reb's or Billy Yank's haversack while running the 100 yard dash.

The union & confederate armies will skirmish & re-enact battles from 1863 including
Champion's Hill night action.
7. Hurrah for the Light Artillery!

through the living history portrayal by Jan Turnquist.
12. Living History Demonstrations
Learn from period artisans as they demonstrate while creating their wares.
13. Lecture "Trying to Do My Duty"
Frances and rebecca Lincoln's letters from the war: Larry & Kitty Lowenthal.
14. "Waisted Away"
Uncover the fashion of the 1860's with an underpinnings presentation by historian
Joan DeGusto.
15. "Dressing the Family: Clothing for a Working Household"
Learn about infants & children's clothing as well as standard clothing for women
and men with Heather Wasilewski.
16. Bread Riots
The confederate women in the town of unity riot to protest the high cost of goods
during the war years.
