Fundraiser Sponsorships Needed

Hitchcock Academy has been a pillar of our community since 1855. Your sponsorship will help us to continue to bring educational, recreational and cultural programs to our community while we work to make our 153 year old facility more energy efficient. Please review the Events to Sponsor and Sponsorship Giving Levels from below and then fill out a Sponsorship Form.


Events You Can Sponsor


1. "Battle of Brimfield" 5K Road Race
This modern day race is open to the public. A cannon blast will mark the start of the race.

2. Hard Tack No More! Blue and Grey Cook-off
Watch the Blue & Grey teams battle to create authentic recipes over fire pit.

3. 32nd MA Field Hospital Medical Demonstrations
Meet and watch the Sawbones (surgeons of the regiments) at work.

4. Hollow Brook Farms
Join the fun of the Civil War event and encampment on horse drawn trolley rides.

5. Skedaddle Visitors Blue vs. Grey Race
Don either Johnny Reb's or Billy Yank's haversack while running the 100 yard dash.

6. CALL TO ARM! Foot Soldiers, Artillery, and Calvery
The union & confederate armies will skirmish & re-enact battles from 1863 including Champion's Hill night action.

7. Hurrah for the Light Artillery!
Union and Confederate artillery will give demonstrations sure to be noticed.

8. The Whirli-Gigs Children's Tent
Period games, activities and fun for all ages.

9. Authentic Period Civil War Music
Listen to music from the Civil war era.

10. Salem Zouaves
Demonstration of manual of Arms & Bayonet Drill presented by the Salem Light Infantry.

11. Louisa May Alcott
"Meet" the abolitionist and author of "Little Women" and "Hospital Sketches" through the living history portrayal by Jan Turnquist.

12. Living History Demonstrations
Learn from period artisans as they demonstrate while creating their wares.

13. Lecture "Trying to Do My Duty"
Frances and rebecca Lincoln's letters from the war: Larry & Kitty Lowenthal.

14. "Waisted Away"
Uncover the fashion of the 1860's with an underpinnings presentation by historian Joan DeGusto.

15. "Dressing the Family: Clothing for a Working Household"
Learn about infants & children's clothing as well as standard clothing for women and men with Heather Wasilewski.

16. Bread Riots
The confederate women in the town of unity riot to protest the high cost of goods during the war years.
