5K "Blockade Runner" Road Race and Family Walk-a-Thon

Road Race and Walk-a-Thon Registration Form

A canon will start the race and re-enactors will cheer on the participants in this event. The
course is new this year and will be a part of our Civil War re-enactment weekend, starting and
ending at Heart-o-the-Mart, 37 Palmer Road Brimfield, MA 01010. This flat course will be
perfect for all level of runners. Gold & Silver medals will be awarded by gender and for ages:
18 & under, 19-39, 40-49, 50+. After the race, individuals are welcome to join a timed 100
yard dash wearing "civil war battle gear". Rewards of merit will be distributed to winners of
the "gear" race. Admission to the Civil War event is free for all paid runners and walkers.

Pre-Registration for Runners - $15.00 if received by July 1st or $20.00 after July 1st,
up until the day of the race. Registration on August 3rd will be open 8-8:50 AM.
Free T-shirts to the first 200 pre-registered runners. Runners are welcome to collect their
own sponsorships if they wish, ask for a sponsorship form.

Walk-a-Thon Registration - Anyone who registers by July 1st and collects at least $20
in sponsorships will receive a free t-shirt! The walk will follow the same 5K route as the
runners. If you would like to solicit sponsors for your walk, ask for a sponsorship form.

Proceeds will benefit HFA Community Center.
Hitchcock Free Academy Community Center is open to the public year-round, providing a range
of educational, recreational & cultural programs to area residents of all ages.
